Hi, I’m Jo! An everyday working mum, a self-confessed geek with a background in about 15 years in the IT industry (…showing my age…). I hate to waste time as I, like everyone else, have no time to waste. And simply, if something can take 5 min, why spend 5 hours on it.
My Mantra: Make Life Easy.
I’ve built my career simplifying complex systems for big companies, but nothing is as complex as managing a household with two young daughters and a family calendar that feels like a game of Tetris.
So what it means to be a “prompt” parent. Usually, it just means we’re the ones sprinting to keep up—the ones who need to be fast, organized, and on top of every school email and meal plan. But there’s a new kind of “prompting” helping me out lately. It’s about using AI as a helper to handle the boring stuff so we can actually focus on ourselves, our family, and other more important things in life.
This blog isn’t a tech manual. Whether you are a stay-at-home parent or a working parent juggling two calendars, this is a space to realize that AI is just a tool, like a washing machine for your brain. Our kids are growing up in a world where AI is normal; we need to embrace it so we can guide them and stay relatable as they grow.
What to expect with this blog:
- Quick Reads: Every post is less than 5 minutes.
- Sanity-Saving Prompts: Ready-to-use, copy-and-paste instructions to offload tasks immediately.
- The Goal: To give you back at least 30 minutes each week for a nice cup of coffee.
Are you ready to be a Prompt Parent and help this community save 1,000 hours by the end of the year? Once you use a prompt, leave a comment telling me how much time it saved you so I can add it to our “Community Time Saved” counter!
Looking forward to saving you time and perhaps a chat over coffee!
